Slim, Light Android Phone under 40k

My mom needs a new phone since she broke her existing one.

She doesn't like iOS so leaves only Android.

Her only requirement is dual SIM and the phone needs to be light.

Motorola Edge 30 seems to fit the bill, but thought I'd check if there are any other options.

@zen it's pure stock Android. My moto edge 20 only has 4000 mAh battery but it easily lasts a day with 144Hz. Moto phones doesn't have heavy UI skin which drains battery.

The smaller battery is one reason why the phone is less bulky to hold in hand. Given that elderly people tend to use phone primarily for calling, a less bulky phone is a must as bones tend to lose their density with age.

I would have suggested G52 as it weighs only 169 GM's with a 5000mah capacity battery. But since budget is not a constraint and to futureproof oneself, E30 makes more sense.
Other device manufacturers should take a cue from Moto, atleast in terms of weight management when they go overboard with 200+GM's phones.

Edge 30 makes perfect sense. Its a well rounded phone , specially for parents. Even though the battery capacity seems small, i was amazed with the backup my father is getting on Edge 30. With Fast refresh rate, 4G/Wifi and GPS enabled throughout the day, it still lasts >1 day (SOT >7 hours). Usage includes WhatsApp, YT, e-com, banking, ~1-2 hours of voice calls, etc.

If you need a bigger battery but a bit more weight you can go for edge 20 Pro or maybe even edge 30 pro with offers. The performance is outstanding in every department due to SD 870/ SD 8 Gen 1.
Edge 20 pro will have 4500 mAh & Edge 30 pro will have 4800 mAh. But I think for parents it's overkill

My mom didn't like the colour options on the Edge30, she said she wanted a white/silver phone. So I ordered the G82 in white. Not as light but seems fine still. Saved me 5k as well.

@manu1991 Best. If you can wait till 8 September their new flagship lineup is coming. Just wanted to tell you because just saw their trailer. Although all their phones are best.

Seems like flipkart doesn't allow you to select delivery date, I can only see next day delivery. Will order tomorrow then since I want it delivered on Sunday.

You can change the delivery date once it's shipped, I have done it many times
