24-26 is the right balance imo. You can set it on 24 initially for an hour and then gradually increase it to 26 which sufficiently cools the room.
 
Unless the device is able to account for humidity , just by temperature it may not get a true idea of hot you feel.

Also room size. The same physical ac in different rooms/floor has given different experience for the same temperature, so yeah.
 
Anything 24 or above can be kept while sleeping, but should be kept below that rest of the day. Point is if its too comfortable one will always feel sleepy and if its colder below notch then you would be able to do more like workout, cook, work or study
 
The actual temperature should just be replaced with Feels like temperature, because whats the point of the actual then? To who will it matter?
