The key is "auto-switch". I would like much more granular controls over the settings. And anyways, what even is the practical use of locking out that setting?

2.4GHz is mostly useless in flats which are close to each other in my city of Hyderabad. The interference in 2.4 GHz is staggering and the bandwidth loss was too much due to it. With my ISP ACT Fibernet, i tried every available channel but it was choked to the brim. No option other than using 5GHz here though

Funnily enough, my bluetooth headphones suffer from same issue. The range is fraction of what i usually get.

If you can't select the channels manually, use Airtel thanks app and go to my wifi and there you will an option called wifi optimisation just use that and it will automatically select the channel with the least interference. Hope it helps.
