umm no its based on mozilla engine

ya its almost a separate installation of firefox with a media player addon of some sort but running it i got the 'feeling' its using java(dunno exactly what)...the forums confirm it... the media library and some of the other elements of the player apart from the browser are java basedbtw, did you try the new bentoo skin on winamp?? (default one wid the new version)i like it very much but still don't use it all the time .. its too heavy ...

yeah used it. liked it too. but takes too much space for my comfort.also winamp seems to have a bug with always on top... i have to disable it and re-enable it to function properly everything i start it. on the original theme... not sure abt the new one.

I couldn't understand head or tail of the app when I tried it. And the black skin is terrible. Sticking to QMP.

I will stick to WMP11 for Vista and amarok for linux . The browser part in music player totally ruins it ( neglecting its Mozilla base ) .
