:/ Why this sudden interest in south actors? Also south film industry is further divided into tollywood, mollywood, kollywood etc. I don't know half the actors posted here. Also many heroines from different parts of the country see south industry as stepping stone into bollywood case in point Illeana, kaajal agarwal, tamannaah and many more.

I also don't know half these actors. And please don't call them as super stars.Down south, only one man answers to the name "Super Star" - Rajinikanth.

Every film fraternity has its own superstar ..Tollywood- Chiranjeevi (he's called Megastar actually) Tamil- Rajnikanth. And Mohanlal is kollywood i think.

I often get confused which person is Hero and which one is Villain while watching South-Indian movies. But some guys are good looking, like Madhvan or that guy in Thumps-up ad.

Yeah, I know. But still, there can be one only superstar. :pChiranjeevi is good. Mohanlal and Mammooty (Malayalam) are very good actors. Then, we have Kamal Hasan in Tamil Nadu.Lots of technicians that work in Bollywood these days are from the south. We also have the mozart of Madras - AR Rahman.Prolific directors in Hindi - Priyadarshan and Ramgopal Verma are from the south. There's also Mani Ratnam.Bollywood heroines like Vyjantimala, Waheeda Rahman, Hemamalini, Sri Devi, Aishwarya Rai are all from the south.I just mentioned a few things on top of my head.

But some guys are good looking, like Madhvan or that guy in Thumps-up ad.

Yes ..lot of films have normal looking heros while baddie is played by some hindi villain with full 6 packs.

BTW that guy in thums up ad is Mahesh Babu ..easily one of the few good looking and fashion conscious heros.

but yeah ..truly global superstar is Rajnikanth. His film releases in Japan with good openings -_-
