Speeds reduced

Just changed from 799 UL to the 649 plan and i noticed a drop of like 6-8 KBps in download speeds. Anyone else experiencing the same

I see its not listed on airtel's site. Its the same as 799 UL (256 kbps ul). Some difference in call rates i guess.

to be more clear can u mention your download speeds b4 and the new ones under this plan.Whenever there is a plan change the customer profile is completely reset according to new plans. If you got more speeds with older plan( more than 32KB/sec), you may actually not get the same with new one as they wud ensure that new plan customers don't get those extra perks which they got by paying more....

yeh i guess. Before, torrents averaged at around 33 KBps easily, now its like 26. Same with http. Should get above 30 atleast.

in that case u must call them..... anything below 256kbps is not broadband.

Switched to 649 from 799 around a month and a half back. There was no change in speeds (34-35 kBps).

I have been getting connected at speed 6mbps but when i check the speed it gives me only 2.5 mbps. Could someone tell me if there is any setting needs to be done?
