I think you need a Jio number for that! Does Jio prepaid number is like any other SIM card that fits into any android phone? I don't know much about Jio as such!

Just to confirm to you all, on Jio Cinema users of Jio/Vi/Airtel/BSNL can just login/sign up using their respective sim cards and stream The upcoming FIFA World cup for free at no extra cost.

Earlier when I used to go to Jiocinema site it would ask Enter your Jio number to login. Now it just says enter your mobile number and you get the OTP on it even if it's not Jio.

Jio Cinema is pathetic across platforms. Even video quality of highlights looks bad. Playback is jittery.

While I have d2h and subscribed to Sports 18, I went ahead and additionally took voot select because voot was broadcasting sports 18 live as a part of their package. the FHD was quite good and smooth. So I thought some times I can conveniently watch it from my room rather than sitting b4 TV.

Sadly came yesterday and voot removed Sports 18 from their platform and now it's only jio cinema. Searching the web returned this thing.

Viacom18 to shift sports content to JioCinema

Jiocimena it's too much buffering/too much lag and too much of jitter and not even sense of FHD. Pathetic.
