So just finished with the first one. I am kind of baffled. I thought Darth Vader was like a Voldemort style scary villain. And Death Star was this insanely powerful vehicle. Vader looks like a sidekick villain in this one and Luke Skywalker blew Death Star with a proton torpedo! On to second movie now!
The movie is so old. Is this even considered a spoiler?
Watched it today, movie is just above average. No memorable quotes or moments . 3d effects are good , a few shots felt great along with the sound other than that nothing much . Hopefully the series grows much bigger with epic battles like the ones in LOTR : Return of King then it will be worth watching.
No more death stars please i believe this is the third movie in the franchise which has a plot of destroying the death star. They actually started with a good premise then it became all to familiar no twists or turns just same old Star Wars.
So just completed the second movie. What's the deal with Princess Leia? She keeps on flirting with both Luke and Han! Of course, in second one (fifth episode) she admitted that she loved Solo. Yoda has made an appearance. I love the light saber. I mean it's so dangerous but they use it like it's a knife and no one has had an accident yet with it. On to third one now!
I watched the movie in IMAX 3D yesterday. It was fun, but I felt it did little to explain characters' motivations. Then again, I have only a brief idea of the day at Star Wars universe and haven't watched any of the previous films.
pretty comical in nature. lots of humor with the droids. han solo keeps on flirting with leia. luka is awful as 'THE ONE'. i am yet to see why darth vader is considered one of the finest bad guys in the history of movies. special effects are comical of course but i suppose they were groundbreaking for the time. decent watch. it is totally not what i expected them to be. i thought these were sophisticated movies with deep stories and shit like that. nothing like that until now

there are a lot of references to the episode 1/2/3 which did not exist of course when these movies were made and released. for example reference to something called clone wars and the backstory of darth and so on. i guess things would become a bit clearer once i see the shitty prequels. lol.
