Dear Friends,

We are a company with 25 branches across different locations.

we are developing an application which we want to use it only with the these locations.
We have BSNL broadband connections in all these locations. Can we give static IPs and allow the users from only these locations to access our application?

pls advise

Yes and No.

1. You cannot get a single static IP for all 25 locations. So you will have use 25 different static IPs

2. Even if the static IP belongs to Delhi, I can sit in Bombay and access the application

3. The best thing you can do write some script or use location setting on server so that users under particular area are only allowed through the line. Sadly if required this too can be beaten but only by pros.

I guess OP is planning to provide some kind of service similar to Google maps where people may not wait for register. But using a password or making them register to use your service of course works if it is a premium solution.
