Static IP for Pre Paid connection ??

Hi Guys,the engineer gave me a static IP for Pre paid connection ?? is this ok ? I heard that for pre-paid you get a dynamic IP.... please clearify.Thanks...

you might ask them for a dynamic ip...may be they changed their policy..hey do they provide wiring through local cablewallah or their own people ..also if cableoperator is involved who has the server ..ie they toute through the cableoperator or provide srvice directly from their own servers

Well its local cable-walla, and all my efforts have gone waisted to inquire about the Static IP business. As far as I know... they should provide me with a Dynamic IP. Atleast this is safeer than Static IP when using Torrents...

You can use PPPOE. in that case, IP of your LAN card wont matter.
