Successfully Enabled Bridge Mode on JIO Fiber Original ONT. But need Help.

Do you not get DHCP without cloning MAC?

It is possible, since your Jio Router has the same MAC towards WAN, it is intercepting the packet instead.

You are not receiving ARP either for the gateway IP, you should not be able to ping it either.

I tried without Mac Addr cloning, and it just doesnt get an IP.
Also tried with DHCP server disabled in Jio.

I took a look on router settings





Please try this:


1. Config router in bridge mode to get ip address on TP-Link router


2. Go to Jio router wan ipv4 configuration and choose isp type as pppoe and put anything in the fields (as to prevent Jio router from connecting to internet)


3. Restart Jio router and tp link





Then try if internet works

Okay so it was some issue from Jio's ONT. I tried several times, Mikrotik was getting an IP but internet was not accessible.
I have put VSOL 2.5G ONU in bridge mode with Jio with same configurations and it is working like a charm.
Next I am gonna try it on TP-Link G7 ONU. Will keep this thread updated.
