Suggest 43inch TV

Looking to buy a 43inch TV. Thinking to buy offline, Amazon/flipkart has become risky.

Brands:-

Samsung - I already own 2 TV from this brand. OS is very simple, fast and responsive. Overall decent quality and reliable. Cons - Limited apps - samsung app store, brightness and motion blur is not the best.

LG - I am not sure about their WEB OS, read it lags a lot. No clarity about IPS or VA panel.

Sony - Google TV OS. Better picture quality than samsung. Costs a little extra. Cons- Not sure how long its OS will get updates and some reports of TV becoming unresponsive. Service and long term reliability not sure.


Models Shortlisted -

Samsung - DU7000 - 36-37k (too much confusion about model no sold online, offline)

LG - Nanocell - 38-40k offline (cannot find 43inch online)

Sony - XL64 2023 model - Amazon.in (not sure whats latest model available offline but I want its 2024 version if available at 40k with offers)

In review videos I really liked the brightness and motion blur removal of SONY, it makes watching sports experience good. Also I will keep it in the hall area where there is too much light during day time so extra brightness should help.

Samsung should start mentioning to not share sms and ask for feedback after some hours.

Chai paani was not required in Delhi much but here in hyd lol everyone needs chai paani. Croma delivery also wanted that despite paying 200 for delivery. Seriously why they need extra 200 for handling charges.

Scammy sales tactics and outright lies is more concerning.

@Smh how is your experience with Samsung TV - Picture quality and Audio levels. I read some online reviews that Samsung Audio levels are lower and we would need Sound bar for better experience while watching movies.
I am looking for 55 inch TV for Living room, and I would choose between Samsung or Sony only.
Sony is bit expensive, so wanted some first hand review of Samsung TV

I have very average TV use, mainly use it for Netflix, prime, youtube stuff, occasional sports.

Audio is loud enough but speech clarity is not good enough. I cannot recall a good example to share but if you are watching something like "Heeramandi" where they use a lot of 'shudh hindi/urdu' type of dialogues, you have to rely on captions. Or any shows with heavy accent in English. I am still only using the default speakers.

Youtube general vlogs type of stuff has weird audio like you have put a call on speaker sound, unless you are watching a really well produced video like from the channel "Best ever food review show" by Sonny. Normal youtube stuff sounds normal on my laptop but not on TV, I guess it will be same for other TV too.

Some shows have weird sound production where background music is too high, speech is low. I don't know whom to blame show producers or TV manufacturers.

I don't know how samsung TV volume can be considered low volume I think its plenty to disturb your neighbors if you are watching at 50+. But quality of sound leaves a lot to be desired.

Inbuilt speakers have space and position limitations so I guess we can only expect so much. Sound bar should be a good addon to improve experience.

Picture quality is good enough unless you are watching something like "bramayugam" where there is too much black & white, dark atmosphere, gloomy weather kind of scenes.
Dynamic mode is only okay for sports or everything feels like is fast forward mode. Soap opera effect.
Standard move with some adjustments is bright enough for most stuff without the saop opera effect. And upscaling is good.
Filmmaker mode for movies like Mission Impossible on prime, FM mode gets auto triggered. Not everyone will like it, if you prefer really bright screen.

Samsung OS is quite fast but make sure you have power off button where its plugged, some homes have only a power socket for plugging TV. Turning off only with remote doesn't completely restarts it and it starts to freeze after sometime 10+hrs.

Sony definitely feels more premium but for my personal average usage that cost difference won't make sense. If you really spend a lot of time watching TV and care a lot about the details then you can think about sony. Availability of new sony models was another issue when I was buying.
Before buying I did a lot of research about panel and stuff but in everyday usage those things don't matter at all, I don't even remember all that stuff lol.

So in conclusion if I have to buy another TV, samsung will be in my top 2 choices.

I would suggest to prefer offline store unless there is some major offer difference. Too many models too much confusion. Some models have no stand, keypad remote etc. And few months ago many sony new models were pending for release so now there should be most latest models available in market.
