Sun Direct DTH selects IRDETO for DTH operations

Sun TV would use Irdeto's conditional access system (CAS) to manage content and revenues in the satellite broadcasting venture and has placed an initial order for 5,00,000 Irdeto smart cards. The company is set to introduce its DTH pay TV network following the launch of a next-generation Insat communications satellite by the Indian Space Research Organisation in September.
