Sun Network feeds are there on ISRO's new satellite Insat 4 CR now !
The frequency is 11677 V, SR 3000.

Insat 4 Cr got 12 KU band facility, and Sun's test signals in that new satellite which covers entire India (limited coverage) hints that..will they shift to new satellite (at least DTH operations) !!??

Any more informations?

Hi Viki,

But Satdox mentioned the coverage as: EDU001KU

ISRO claims that this satellite got 12 powerful KU band facility, which can be used for DTH purposes. See here: .::. INSAT - 4CR .::.

Hi Smile,

INSAT 4CR has both C band and KU band as INSAT 4B.

But,in INSAT 4CR the TP freq is 11677 V and SR Freq is 3000, so it is bit confusing whether it is C band or KU band...

Actually , SUN has booked 1 KU band TP in Insat 4b for Data Sharing. Now it seems they are using that TP too for SUN DTH channels. So they may be using INSAT4CR for DATA sharing.

Yes..may be.. there is a chanceLyngsat reports today that there are several updates in Sundirect !No much details. That means some changes (may be addition) happened in Sun direct frequencies.Pavan

Insat 4CR is a failed satellite with reduced orbit life.It cannot be reliable for DTH operations except low profile applications like feed.
