Switching to Airtel AirFiber can be a good move, but let’s compare both sides first:

At my parents' home, we currently have a local cable TV connection that costs ₹376 per month. However, it doesn't offer all the sports channels, so my father also subscribes to Hotstar. Additionally, we have a fiber internet connection to stream Hotstar and for stock market usage. I also use the internet for my work whenever I visit.

The total monthly cost (cable + internet) comes to around ₹880.

Recently, I saw several videos about Airtel AirFiber, which offers a 30 Mbps plan bundled with TV services. Would switching to Airtel AirFiber be a smart move? I’d really appreciate your thoughts.

What is your fiber connection speed ?
Airtel AirFiber plan will cost you around ₹825 (699 plan with TV,OTT) per month and the quality of channels will not be equal to what you are getting in cable TV. I would suggest to opt for a good pack in cable tv and continue with the wired fiber connection which will always be superior than the AirFiber.

Fiber speed 80 Mbps Local Broadband zero downtime.

Always use cable fiber. They're simply superior, and come with higher data caps if any. Airfiber has 1Tb cap, which may not be enough since IPTV uses your fup as well leaving less data for your actual internet.
