I want to switch to Airtel Xstream Fiber from my current Jio Fiber plan as I strongly feel Jio is throttling my connection, particularly in the evening. I want to move to Airtel Xstream Fiber1599 plan. Need to clarify the following:
I see that Netflix Basic (₹199) is bundled with the plan. Is it possible to upgrade to Netflix Premium plan (₹649) by paying the ₹450 balance?
Do we get to stream in 4K on SonyLiv via Xtreme Play app on TV if the content is originally available in 4K? What about subtitles?
1.) Yes, through the Airtel Thanks app you can change the Netflix subscription. You can pay Rs. 450 extra per month which will be added to your Airtel Black bill and then you'll get Netflix premium.
2.) I'm not sure about the highest streaming quality on SonyLiv content but I guess atleast you can watch in 1080p for sure.
I had Zee5 app working with Airtel Xstream earlier after I claimed offer. But now Zee5 content is not available in Zee5 as well as Xstream Play app. For movies or TV show, only preview or Trailer is played. Then it asks to Subscribe to Premium Zee5 plan. Further Zee5 has divided their plans language wise, so need to subscribe multiple plans if we want to watch content from Multiple languages.
I switched to Airtel Xstream Fiber and the experience is much better compared to Jio.
But I don't seem to get 5.1 audio for anything on Xstream Play app (on Fire TV Stick). It is always stereo even for content that has 5.1 audio on their native app.
Sorry for hijacking the thread, does anyone know if the Prime subscription offered with 999 plan gets renewed every year or is it just a one time thing?
