i realy annoyed with this problem.whenever i try to open up the main page of beetel modem at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.1/main.html it takes a hell lot of time to open.i m using a Netgear wirless router connected to my modem.even if i connect the modem directly to laptop the main page takes hell lot of time to open.i m using windows xp sp2any help would be appreciated, thanx in advance, sanchit

I had the same happen to me only yesterday, but I don't remember what solved the issue. I think a simple modem restart did the trick.

well i can see the device info page.but it takes around 5 mins for that page to open.sometimes it never opens at all by //192.168.1.1/main.htmlwhen i called the airtel guy he said that their is some issue with the pc.what could be an issue with a newly formatted pc?i m not able to get anything.

@micks86 Uninstall IE and reinstallIE7.
nowadays a free version of IE 7 available without WGA/validation.Or Free Windows Software Download
Since you formatted the laptop try for all SP2 and other updates again.
Download Firefox and add on IE tab to switch to IE from FF and test.
For upgrading firmware I have given the links already.. Compare the board and FW version
Try a) connect the modem direct to(Rj45) laptop and try the access.192.168.1.1
..or b) reset the modem .
I am using same Beetel 220BXadsl2+modem for past three years, and no FW update
attempted. I am using it both for Dataone and Airtel connections.( not together!)
Please give Netgear wireless router model number.
How you connect the modem to Internet always on or dialup mode ?

@ shashankre better to try Firefox. or see some of the suggestions above.

It happens in my UTStar UT-304R2 modem, but only when there's some activity going on like File Transfer over the LAN or Heavy downloading. But try to find a firmware which might do the trick for you.

I have noticed that if you connect modem through the USB, the main page loads up faster... and yes if there is a heavy download going on the loading is always slower, regardless of how its connected.Try doing a firmware update on the modem...or get it replaced for another...trying a different browser should help but it doesnt in reality...didnt help me..so i got mine replaced to a new blue beetle modem by returning the old black one.:P:ashamed:(The black one matched with my comps color):(

I was also facing the same problem, but my problem arose when one and a half month back Airtel guy upgraded the firmware on my Beetel 220Bx, he told me that this firmware is much better than the previous one.

Any ways after the upgrade, I was facing several issues, connection will not get through in one attempt, it may disconnect any time, and yes very sloooooow loading of modem interface.

So what I did, I just visited Beetle Modems page at Welcome to Beetel Modems and downloaded http://www.beetelmodems.com/download/220bx/T28-0q-003.zip then updated my modem's firmware (you may say I downgraded).

Now this downgraded process took almost 35 minutes, I just waited, in the end the process completed.

So now I have my same old Beetel 220Bx working great, it connects in one go, no disconnection, and super fast loading of DSL interface.

Not just this, I am experiencing a bit faster surfing and download speed too.
