In Both the images i see only '3g' & not '3.5g', in Bangalore when i use BSNL i get 3.5g on my Nokia 5800 and i guess the phone in these pics are also Nokia 5800. Please confirm

So this means this network is only 3g(up to 3.6 Mbps) but BSNL's network 3.5g is up to 7.2 Mbps !
dear madusudhan u r damm right , but who told u that nokia 5800 is 7.2mbps , it is wrong , most of 3g network is 3.4mbps , ordinaory 3g is called wcdma (384kbps) HSDPA is called 3.5G whether it is 3.4 or 7.2mbps

I have LG Arena , it shows, 3G , when i connect it to internet it shows H(HSDPA) when i m in roaming there is always H (when i m in 3g area)

I'm not a geek on wireless broadband pal but i do know that Nokia 5800 supports only upto 3.6 Mbps from the time i bought it(thanks to gsmarena). But i remember reading 3.5g networks support upto 7.2 Mbps & hence wanted some clarifications from anyone who knew this for sure around here :)

^^ yarr told u , 3.5G equal to either 3.4mbps or 7.2mbps even 14mbps and 21mbps , but Nokia 5800 limited to 3.4mbps

even i got Nokia 5800 but when i tried with bsnl it shows small 3.5G symbol but nokia 5800 supports upto 3.4mbps as in gsmarenamay be can someone clear what is max speed in 3G and in 3.5G

I got a signal today in bangalore. I am not a subscriber of tata docomo but searched available 3G n/w. I think people in bangalore can select 3g n/w to start with.
