Tata Play Fiber's 300/500 Mbps pricing makes no sense (went with YOU instead)

@netant > unless they are that same company who send legal notice to customers when they apply for disconnection
Not worried about that - plenty of lawyers in the family, and it's a prepaid connection anyway so no outstanding dues issue. Excitel is mostly north India, don't think they even operate in Maharashtra.

ACT I'll switch to when they expand here. Their team said 1-2 years, and right now they're only in select parts of Pune. For now, happy with YOU. Speeds are consistent, routing has been solid. Only gripe is the router they provide is pretty bad - though I've ordered a Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Ultra with WiFi 6 APs, so that should be sorted in a couple of days.

Airtel and Jio (latency and bufferbloat mess too with Jio) are a hard pass for me. Too locked down and support takes forever.

@jehunix Exictel does have presence in mumbai.
ACT has still not expanded to my area as well, their presence is very patchy. In my apartment we only have Airtel, Tata and a local player.

@_rajat not really! go to excitel website and check list of cities. no city in MH! they serve mainly north india only (barring few southern towns). In my apartment I can get any player I want provided I can get them to lay wires in the area.

Problem with ACT is they serve only keshav nagar and obscure areas in Pune yet and haven't expanded to actual OG areas of Pune...

I have been using excitel from last 3 years and my experience is overall decent , with terms of internet quality like ping , speeds it is excellent in 200mbps plan i always get 220-230mbps + it is fully unlmtd without cap . Price is decent ~ 400rs per month . BUT when it comes to support they suck , whenever i got fibre cut they sometimes take upto 24 hours to fix it . only bcoz LCO is handling it. and recently i wanted to relocate my connection and they denied directly , which i beleive should be the first point why i should hate them , when i have paid them 7 months pricing in advance and i have 3 months which are going to get wasted.

Not i have choosen railwire, which does n't matches with excitel in terms of pricing and speeds , In 100 mbps plan i get 80-90mbps .
although in 500rs they are giving 100mbps with 1500gb data , FUP 2mbps after that :ROFLMAO: Service wise - i have not got any issues till now so cant comment on that

@invisible007 bro that sucks!! but relocation is always messy no matter the ISP - one of the reason i go with either monthly or max 3 months plans. 1500Gb FUP sucks with Railwire though!! Its been 14 days since I installed YOU and I've already used 1Tb. Atleast should be 3.3Tb

@jehunix I guess they wind up their business in mumbai because I clearly remember someone posting a review of excitel broadband in mumbai on this forum. You can search.

Could be. Nobody I know uses excitel here. I don't trust them too kinda - they had blocked Apple Services and Alibaba cloud earlier which they took long long time so resolve. Only good thing about them in no FUP I guess but I have 2 fiber connections so that doesn't matter much to me personally..
