i visited vijay sales on sunday... they were offering kenstar 32 LCD for 22990 in exchange of any working tv.They were showing zoom with Tata Sky in all tvs.I think if u have time wait and watch rather than jumping in lucrative lcd schemes!

wait for sometime, LG is reducing the price of its 32 inches plasma it will cost around 29 k:whistle:

Yes, thats correct, I have 32" LCD and picture quality is not really good. I get nice picture quality on few channels like HBO, Star Movies, ESPN but very bad quality on Sony, Zee, Star Plus etc. You can see pixels on the screen and its really bad.... I was recently watching Dharma on Showcase and quality of the movies was surprisingly very good so I think Tata Sky is not giving enough bandwidth to these channels due to which quality is bad.

I have seen Big TV on LCD at one of my friend LCD and picture quality difference was huge, it was very clear, I felt I am watching HD content.

Now I am waiting for Big TV launch. So if you are going to buy new LCD then wait for some time as BIG will be offering on discounts LG, Samsung, Philips, Onida LCDs.

FOr my LCD 40" - I have all 3 Dish/BIG and TataSkyBigTV is bestDish TV is betterTata Sky worst - even text and logo appear distorted

Protip: Reducing the LCD Backlight Level (if that feature is in your telly) while bringing up the brightness/contrast to balance it out will help in reducing colour bleed and pixelation on your signals. Only a bit mind you, but it is more pleasing to the eye if calibrated properly.

All those who say that TS is not good on 32 inch LCD are telling a lie, I don't know why they are doing this.I am watching TS for the past 1 yr on my 32 inch Videocon LCD and the picture quality is mind blowing, yes it does vary from channel to channel but understand that the program also has to be shot with LCD projection in mind, you cannot expect DD to have quality cameras like for example NEO sports, the cricket is mind blowing, Movies are fantastic. I would only say please stop telling lies, there is no distortion or banding or pixellation or colour mismatch nothing of that sort happens.

^ I totally agree with you.At first I thought the ideal screen size for watching DTH on LCD monitor should be around 28'' - 32'' beyond that it will start to pixellate. However, I have visited many electronic stores and have viewed the demo and clarity which is absolutely fabulous just as the screen size. There might be variation of one channel with another but that is due to broadcasters end as you have stated.
