Hi sushubh & jaypeeYes me has a DVD Recorder, LG, without HDD, Model DR - 165W, i bought it for Re 10,000/- 2 years back, but it is really great, via this i can record anything that plays on my TV, whether it is from a cable, dth or iptv, i am very happy with it & i believe it is still available in India, the biggest advantage is that i can have as many as recording via Blank DVD's . Piracy is a personal call for me, if i have to use pirated items then there are plenty of other ways to get it, "again from my experience i believe it is no use of having a PVR or DVD Recorder unless u have 2 Television at home & have time at your disposal"SabirHiAgain there are DVD Recorders that has 2 TV Tuners in it, which is as good as the Tata Sky + PVR, with them u can record one show while you watch the other, but they are not available in India, i had written to Sony once whether i can get it thru them imported, but they decline, they have models that does has 2 TV Tuners & are made available in UK & other parts, Guys who have friends in UK can have them, 2 TV Tuners DVD Recorders, import & they are cheaper then what you would pay for a Single TV Tuner DVD Recorder.

Hi Sabir, You give the RCA cable (composite Video and Audio left,right) input from the Tata Sky STB to the DVD Recorder? You bought the DR165W from an authorised LG dealer? LG India website does not mention DVD Recorders (for that mattter neither does any leading electronic companies). I find its strange DVD recorders are not advertised/sold by major electronic companies in India.

As of now TS+ is useless since we can’t copy content from the STB. More over there is no new feature other than just recording and playing back. No USB support. For existing subscribers it will not be viable if the total charges to shift to TS+ go above RS. 1000.
