Well its a good offer and good to see that they have reduced prices but still if you compare with dishtv happy home pack the then dishtv's offer is way ahead with Rs.100 only and also offer more and better choice of channels, further their offer price ( 1990 +200 installation )is also vey less as compared to Tata Sky offer price of 2999/-

The packaging is interesting if u see..The south jumbo pack includes south value + a mix of channels from all other packs...the south value pack does not have the popular channels, forcing people to go with south jumbo..People are being fooled, and we don't realize it..Packaging in simpler terms like, hindi1,Hindi2,GEC1,GEc2,Discovery/NGC,Music1,Sports1,Sports2,Kids,Tamil,Kannada,Malayalam,Telugu,Bengali,Gujarathi etc..If this is in, this would reduce the cost a lot.. Profits for TS will go down even further.. So this is least expected!:madness:

I think in South Starter Pack except SUN channels all are FTA channels. So Tata is making huge profit in their packages, thats why TS gives 2 month subscription free if we buy Annual Pack. I think Tata Sky can able to give south Jumbo for Rs.250/-.:SOne thing we can done. After TS add 1 or 2 channels in Life style gold pack, we can subscribe to it. South Starter + LS gold = 125+45 = Rs. 170. We can get some hindi, English, News channels. :thumbsup:NOTE:Now i am in South Starter Pack, My Subscription due date was 01:02:09. After they reduce the pack my Due date is extended to 24-03-09. :yahoo:

I am literally busy as now i days i more often go out station for client meeting:wall: and thats the reason i have not logged in the forum for many days even if i have logged into the forum i dont have time to post messages.........today i am lucky that i am able to post some message:thumbsup::dance:

Back to topic: I am happy that they have reduced the price of SS pack......:thumbsup:

You are right. Even I am going to go to SS pack from 1st onwards.I am paying 260 for SV pack, only for 5 Channels, Times Now,NDTV,CNN IBN,HBO,Star Movies, as I dont watch any other channels.But with SS+LS Gold, I think for 170, U get 3 News channels, News X , UTV i and DD News. I know NewsX is good channel,what bout UTVi? Is it good or Crap?

With changing packages, reducing costs i'm starting to feel good about Tata Sky..If it manages to split the regional packs, remove color's and UTV movies as a-le-carte, add's more music channels to the base pack at no added price, i'll be the happiest of subscribers! I wonder if they would like doing so!!

@ mates their is an silent revolution happening in the DTH industry just wait for videocon and BSNL to launch their product then we can expect more difference in their packaging prices......:thumb:
