Seriously, not making any joke out of it. I literally got this sort of feeling when i switched back to my local cable wala. I wish to share with you how life has now got relaxed and easy in terms of Entertaintment.
Since the rise in cost of packages, i started to feel more unworthy of being DTH customer. I was viewer of Family package + tensports (200 + 15). Since it never made sense to me to opt for a package costing Rs 50 for one colors channel. And for sports!? And for English channels??
Well, Recharge thingy i never understood. It never gave me the days i deserved. For example my last recharge on Rs 300/- Card was alloted only for month (30 days). If i take a look at revised charges (220 + 25 = 245) so still according to Rs 8/- per day, i should have got 30+ days added in my '
Tata Sky account'. So i finally opted to let things ease off by connecting back my local cable.
Now what a change in life. While playing vCD there is not headache of removing and reinserting wires and those bullsh*
Tata Sky DTH. When
Television is set on from power, there is no please wait, tata sky is loading and one moment please screens. Just the channel where u were left before the actual power off.
Now Clarity. guys except for last 10 channels on UHF band, i practically see no channel which has less clarity than tata sky. Thats where my fingers were crossed whether i would be able to adjust myself in terms of clarity, but to my surprise, the quality is excellent (may be Tata Sky DTH is mpeg2).
Now no need to run for recharge card everytime, and all guys dont keep in our locality so to get availablity of recharge card purchase was another struggle for existense in Tata sky's account positive balance. Now cable operator takes money and signature in card, thats all. No need for Rs 3/- SMSes or Tata helpline calls.
Life is so easy with one remote. Otherwise, maintaining two remotes uhh.... life was so painful in everyterm. Now i can store channels at whichever number i want as before.
Now channels. I have colors, NDTV Imagine, Real and so on. I was surprised to see long forgotten channels like Tez, Sahara Samay Mumbai, CVO etc. These were really unheard in tata sky.
Life is so much jhingalaala now.
After a long thought finding good things abt Tata Sky DTH, i only miss that 4 days advance guide and changing channel contents without changing channels actually. But only for that feature getting such pain, that wasnt worth, was that?
Thank u TataSky, cos if you wudnt have entered in my life I would have never been able to enjoy Entertaintment like this way after realizing there are tuffer ways to get the same simple and natural entertainment.

Yes Its true tata sky is very costly as compared with other DTH platform, Even now dishtvhas launched new packages which are very economical in price and have more number of channels in lowest base pack. Also if you won't found any channel in your base pack then you can select that from ala-carte packs as well. Like here as you said you want Colors only and for that you have to pay Rs.45 for that pack. where in dishtv its available in separate ala-caret at Rs.20+ tax .
earlier i was paying 360 w/o STBhe forced STB (2300Rs) upon us by saying certain channels will come only if i get STBand now after 4-5 months he raised rates to 350is there any government which can bring in CAS?
