Tata Sky relocation issue Noida

Will TS update your address in its records if shifting is done without its involvement? They may block your account on flimsy reasons.
They cannot block the account, as far as my knowledge is on this, the warranty becomes void.:redface:

U can ask them to update the address.. No issues at all.. Kindly confirm with the cc before u do so..
 
May be..thts a good option for calling TS..before u do anything..Yesterday night around 1..Ten sports was not coming and when I called CC they did not had any idea about it..

Agreed that TS wont update my address .But then who needs correct address anyway. As it is , they would be nullifying my warranty , but its been close to 11 months since I have had TS so it leaves me with only one month of warranty coverage and paying 600/- for one month of warranty coverage is pretty steep for a product which in inself costs 1500/-

I dont think they can be arm twisted so easily , after all they are a corporate grp and not some small town operator or shop. although the business practices which they are employing are indicating otherwise..

any vendor / technician putting up the dish for a nominal cost would be greatly appreciated !!!1

Offcourse they cannot be arm twisted so easily but they can bend the rules. As Tata Sky is retaining the channels they have removed (DD PODHIGAI/AMRITA TV...etc) only due to public outcry in the forums and elsewhere...

Aslo the following examples are evident that we are leading towards a armtwist era:

[*]Rajesthan govt bending the rules and providing quota (reservation) for gujjars on a national level
[*]French govt arm twisting Mittal to retain the employees of Arcelor...

that is perhaps the irony of the country...

U want something legit to happen , u have to resort to arm twisting .. Say arm twist tata sky to have the charges waived off which THEY WONT do ..

whereas you do something wrong like not pay your credit card bill , and the company wud oblige u by reducing your due amount.
 
Clause 8.3 of the subscription contract:8.3: We reserve the right to deactivate the Service in case the hardware is moved from the Address and installed at an alternative address without our authorisation. In such a case, any remaining warranty on the hardware and installation will be invalidated.You can shift to a new location and hope that TS may not exercise their right to deactivate.
 
well that is what I hope to do , provided I get some technician to install my dish.. Worst case they block my Tata Sky , I wud switch over to Big TV and curse over TS in all public forums ... wat else can we ppl do
