Hi,
What is the connector name of the wire (comming from the dish) which goes into the Tata Sky STB.
Our setup at home does not have a connector and the wire to the STB keeps falling off. I wanted to
put a connector and keep it fimly.

The connector i am talking of is - I must be able to manually attach it to the wire and insert into the STB PORT which is used to connect the dish to the STB,
Regards,
sriram

It's called F-connect. You can attach it manually. However, Tata Sky uses CMP6 connector that requires crimping. If you call them, they will do it for you.Edited: The name of the cable is RG-6. You may also find RG-59 for shorter runs.

Ask for F male connector for RG6/RG11 cable.the crimping tool is available for arounf Rs.400 and connector for Rs.50.But the Tata Sky guy will charge you around 300 and fix it for you.

i dont want to spend 400 bucks on it. I guess i need just the connector and i shall do it manually.
What connector should i ask for?. I have the Normal connector that goes into the TV Socket that is used for CABLE TV. The connector that goes into the TV Socket does not fully go inside the Dish Input of the STB.
The STB Dish TV uses a different type of connector. Can you tell me the name of the connector. I shall purchase it outside and do it myself.
