TCP/IP link dropping while ADSL is still up.

I am having UTStarCom ADSL modem , model number : WA3002G4, with firmware version WA3002G4-0021.01These are the signal levels I see on the modem : Downstream UpstreamSNR Margin (dB): 6.0 11.8 Attenuation (dB): 38.5 18.6 I see this error message periodically in the log : user crit kernel: OAM loopback response not received on VPI/VCI 0/35. I guess at this time the TCP/IP connection drops while the ADSL link is still up. Lot's of my friends complain that my gmail chat connection keeps dropping and reconnecting back when this happens. Also my downloads gets cut and it is annoying when I cannot resume the downloads!. Trying to get the BSNL people understand this issue seems to be a challenge, they tried replacing the modem etc..Any body know what could be the issue here?, is it low SNR, what is the ideal values for this..

your SNR Is low.. above 10 for both recommended.. ensure that all your telephones are connected after splitter..merry christmas..

1.Try GDMT/t413/glite bitswap enabled. Disable adsl2 and adsl2 + ( DSL page)

2.Try opendns 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222

3. SNR D/L must improve at least above 10 to 15 db
