Yesterday there was an whole article about owning an nissan leaf on TheVerge. You don't seem the same type of publicity for Tesla. TheVerge is completely biased towards Apple and certain other companies. Silver lining was the first comment about that leaf article was about Tesla.

Tesla does not advertise because there is more demand for their cars than they can manufacture. Plus the owners of their cars are their best marketing teams. Tesla Model S owners have created their own ads that went viral online.
They even went to the government bodies protesting against the ban on Tesla selling cars directly to interested customers bypassing the car dealer cartels.

Tesla does not advertise. But Iam guessing it needs every bit of positive publicity or atleast no negative publicity is good for it considering its using unconventional technology. Iam pissed off because that article on verge was basically an whole page ad of nissan leaf. Considering tesla proved it detractors wrong again and again,I pissed off tesla only gets mostly negative publicity from main media sources.
Also leaf uses power from home which is made from coal stations whereas tesla is building supercharger stations left right and center of US
