Does anyone here use an airtel connection and have done tethering to laptop / to ipads ? Wanted to know if airtel are charging extra for tethering or not . I have heard some horror stories and don't want to use a lot and get a shock in my bill.
There are no separate charges for tethering! Only the regular 3G charges will apply (as per the plan chosen)[This is what I did. Got the 98Rs 2G plan activated on my sim. I tether my phone to my laptop using the 2G connection. Once connected, I simply switch to 3G mode. For the past one week I have been getting 3G speeds on the 2G plan. It doesn't matter if I connect through MO or directly, there is no deduction in my balance.Though some people have stated that the trick does not work after a month and yet others have stated that you may be charged if you do not connect via MO (Mobile Office). Still, in my case it works seamlessly as of now.]
