Whatsapp has "Link a device" feature, through which a perpetrator can use to send messages.
How would DoT get around that? This is effectively inconvenient, just like the entire government system.

There will be soon a mandatory OTP feature launch which will verify each time any user logging into the OTT app that will point towards whoever is using the account also unless some other phone is used :censored:

Whatsapp web will log you out after every 6 hours. Businesses will lose major customer base. Apps won't work on tablets without sims. Govt has given it a fair amount of thought. Don't worry.

Next they will require every app and services to implement aadhar also with your face verification every time to open it and after that every few hours.

Or ban every app and force their own. 🫩

Personally I feel this is a stu pid decision , there are many loopholes even now
