@Hitori_Abhito7 we might have won only the Sanchar sathi app case, however god knows IFF the govt wants then even RailOne or any other important app like MyAadhar can be silently made into a spiez app by pushing some update, remember pegas-us was so sophisticated that it remained hidden. ;);)
 
good luck to mobile networks to handle whatsapp (and telegram and signal and every other messaging app?) otps for their entire userbase 4 times a day.

Right. This probably would require constant approval by scanning QR code or something.

It looks like WhatsApp hasn't complied with the SIM binding, yet. My web session is still logged-in (for more than a month).

Anyway, I'm migrating slowly to keet.io for some communication. No mobile or email required for sign-up.
