Hello Forum Friends,

After going through almost all operators tariffs, I found NOBODY can beat BSNL's Tariff.
Especially "PLAN-525" & "PLAN-325" Rocks with 15sec pulse rates.

In these plans, you will get more stuff than the rental you have paid.

Infact BSNL is promoting 3G services on 2G Tariffs. Local Video calling@ 70ps/min & STD Video Calling@ Rs.1/min.
Almost all PLANs include FREE Data usage(irrespective of 2G or 3G).
Night Calling(within BSNL Network) is totally FREE or at 50% discounted rates(based on your plan).

You will save lots of money on LANDLINE calls in BSNL. But AIRTEL is NOT ready to reduce call rates to Landlines, It's still charging Rs.1/min on its most of the plans.

BSNL's Data Speed also pretty fast, I downloaded a song(4.3MB in size) from songs.pk in just 27secs in 3G mode & it took about 2min 42secs in 2G mode.

I'm using BSNL (CELLONE) from past 7yrs & I never experienced Billing Mistakes/ERRORs like AIRTEL always do.:ishock:

Nowadays BSNL people become more professional & Caring its customers upto their satisfaction. Even they launched 24x7 CSC in major cities. Means you can pay BSNL Bills(Landline/Mobile) 24x7 at these CSC.

But still they need to improve at technical side. Most of the Officials are lack of technical knowledge & they doesn't know how to handle Tech-Geek customers.
As compare to 2yrs back, Now they improved a lot.

AFAIK BSNL is NOT troubleing/Harassing its PORT-OUT customers. If they eligible for PORT-OUT, they silently approve your request & most of the times they never ask you the reason for PORT-OUT nor they try to retain you.

After 6yrs BSNL has modified its Tariff Plans, Here they are:

They need to improve their network first. I have decided I will pay a premium gladly for better service. After two years of putting up with bugger-all signals, non existent in-building reception (and I can SEE the tower!), continuous 'route busy' messages, dropped calls, being told numbers dont exist (including my own!), I have finally given my porting request . Moving to iDEA. And oh yes -BSNL does try to retain - I got sms's and calls! Told them clearly they have signal issues that they have not been able to resolve for over TWO years in my area. Immediately said "sorry" and hung up! Their "wide network" is also a misnomer. You can make calls only if you are right under their damn tower! (almost:))
 
Finally moved to iDEA. Even there - the BSNL buggers keep my outgoing active and bar all my incoming calls - DUH?!? I finally figured out when someone called me on my land line since he couldn't get thru on my Mobile. Upon checking I find that my number had already been ported - and here I was waiting for the BSNL SIM to stop working!I see another useless fight looming - I dont know when they will cut the OG completely - and being a postpaid connection I sure do hope they dont keep the clock ticking on that one!
