Berlin: Luke Evans Signs Up for Prison Thriller 'Three Seconds' - The Hollywood Reporter
Hobbit leading man Luke Evans is set to star in British director Otto Bathurst's upcoming thriller, Three Seconds, based on the best-selling Swedish novel of the same title about an undercover prison assignment that goes horribly awry.
The project was announced on the eve of the Berlin Film Festival, where Alex Walton and Ken Kao's Bloom will presell the movie to foreign distributors at the European Film Market. Evans is well known to foreign buyers, thanks to his turn in Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy and Dracula Untold. And Bathurst drew raves for his Netflix/Tiger Aspect Series Peaky Blinders and the BBC original miniseries Criminal Justice (both won BAFTAs).
