As far as Shocks are concerned, I too face it in TS set top box, never complained to TS though.

is due to a ‘half wave rectifier’ being used in the power circuit in the unit. This is a cheaper option, many circuit designers use. Better quality gadgets always use a ‘full wave rectifier’ in their circuits so users don’t face a ‘shock’.

The problems to both of them are common......so then comparing the plus points of the 2, TS gets ahead surely!!Airtel sells DVR almost at the price of TS's HD DVR, and Airtel doesnt have HD DVR altogether. Even if u buy Airtel's HD only box, u get negligible no. of True HD Channels.

it may be plus for u and other ppl if they need something that ts has and airtel doesnt , for me for a normal tv user who needs only stb and no recorder airtel is better right now.

I am happy with Airtel DVR and features. (slow motion, super fast forward/backward)UI is good (once u learn how to use it)i have not seen other STBs, but as of now i dont see any issue with airtel DVR and am satisfied.

well i am sure its good amish, ppl pay too much attention these days about this thing and that, they dont know that after china happened, most hardware are same among most providers apart looks, a little bit here and there makes no real problem, airtel is fine and so is ts, dish, d2h, and all, all are almost same rite now airtel has edge in entry level after sometime some other player will catch up too.i got stb+installation +250 rs cash back in account ,everything at the price of the annual package itself rs 3950 for 12 month mega package ( seperately its 320 rs a month that alone comes 3850, so i virtually got stb+installation in rs 100, on the other hand they provide 2 month free subscription if u take annual package which i didn get.so they covered up there.and yesterday i took second connection and paid only rs999 with free one month, after that 160 for same mega pack, so i actually went for the cheapest option because i knew service will be good (same among all) if it was ts which was cheap i would have gone with them.
