Today a courier came with 2 envelopes from Vodafone on opening it we were surprised to find 2 refund cheques. Two family members had pre paid their last bill with an excess amount just to have an unhindered exit out of this company.
Why is vi constantly losing market share. I mean they almost completed their integration right, then whats the problem with their network, I get very good speeds with vi which I never ever got with both airtel and jio.
Network integration is only complete on radio end. Backend integration is still pending and there are known complications including VOLTE unavailability due to dual carroer strategy.
Except VI to comeback properly by 2021 end.
No vowifi even year after airtel n jio launch is another factor. For most dense areas wifi is must as network speeds is very low in peak hours and no one like missed calls.
This strikes out vi for primary sim for most voice users.
In my area the signal & service is so bad & their Vodafone store so incompetent that everyone in my family has ported out including 2 post paid accounts. I have now found out that a lot of customers in my colony or neighbouring colonies have also ported out. The moment the shops were allowed to open lots of people in my area have ported to jio as their shop was the first to open & allowed post paid customers to shift to pre paid at the time of MNP. Thats something that Airtel is not doing, atlest at their third rate store in my area.
@igloo In my case when I was a customer even VOLTE would not work inspite of 4 visits to their store though I was given a vote 'enabled ' sim in every visit. On the fourth visit the back office bumkins blessed me by enabling volte which needless to say was underwhelming hence my exit. In Mumbai they are a real basket case.
