@TheNuttyNet I had to learn the basics of Python programming. I have some experience in SQL & Linux from early in my software industry career. And of course it helps to have a Linux box at home to practice.

You will certainly need the following skills:
  1. Networks, LAN, WAN, subnetting, calculating subnet masks, IPv4, IPv6, router configuration, paths/routes, router programming. All these can be picked up in a certification program
  2. Python programming
  3. SQL programming
  4. Linux command line, scripting

But most importantly interest in the subject and a firm willingness to learn. This is what makes all the difference. Relying on a college degree to land yourself a job will only get you so far. Differentiate yourself from the pack

@Chip I do practice networking on packet tracer, since can't afford homelab and that's why i guess some institute will let me have hands on experience too so that I'm not just amazed by devices at first glance after getting a job.

I'm good with SQL and Linux, and I don't want to just start cold emailing my CV with no certification for a job (and the fact they've already mentioned certification as a requirement) that's why to differentiate from the pack of freshly graduates I'm taking this path.

@TheNuttyNet not exactly job wise but personally by myself. Since childhood (2015 to be exact) I've been in YouTube, Blogging, App Designing, Overall online content creation game with passion and a burning desire to come to the top.

I've been making a good progress till now by just putting 2-5% of my time everyday. After college I've decided to go all in that's why I said it. It's my passion since childhood to do this stuff and because I've gotten too good at it and the results show me the future I am going towards this.

P.S I hate jobs and I can't tolerate anyone telling me anything to do that's why I cannot work like that. That's why this is my dream + passion path which I've been following since a long time.

Nothing special, maybe everyone is doing this but because I never got tired of it even after all these years I chose it. Anyways this might seem like a short biography of mine but because you asked about it I told a lot about myself in a few sentences.

I just wanna tell you that you should take opinions from everyone but follow your heart at the end (considering it's viable in today's changing landscape) and go all in for it. I wish all the best to you for the future 😄.
