HI
i have a home 500 plan frm bsnl and i download heavily on torrents.Ive seen my frends download torrents wid the same connection as mine with above 120kbps speed but i only get 2-3kbps and sometimes torrets dont start at all.im using utorrent someone pls help

dude its not 1ly on seed factor...
in utorrent client check out the connection message....
it must give a green tick mark, on that case ur network connec is proper and open...
actually to get it u must port forward....
PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

since in home 500 plan i hope BSNL gave u router modem of UT300R2U...
in that case use this setup...

" yes u people are facing same old prob like mine...but i have rectified it....actually newly given UT300R2u doesn have virtual server setup.... there's another way to get ALL NETWORK CONNECTIONS ARE FINE IN torrents clients u use to get full speed... follow the procedure stated below...

start -> run -> cmd (xp)
know ur system ip address by typing ipconfig ...since bsnl it must be 192.168.1.x (above 3)
go to IE http://192.168.1.1
(router config page opens after typing admin, admin)
there advanced -> NAT -> dmz host
there type in ur ip address as found in cmd click save/apply this doesnt require reboot r any...just restart ur torrent client....

now ENJOy the best of speed !!!!!!!!!!!
