My ISP does not use VLANs to isolate customers so I see PPP traffic from all ONTs on my segment. My current ONT 1000R is incapable of handling large amount of ppp traffic generated when there is a fiber outage and all the onts on the segment are looking for pppoe server. It gets ddos'ed, my uptime tracker reports this by sending a message which bothers me. I can not disable message notifications and I'd like to fix it properly.
I have other class B ONTs

actually never mind. this is not for me and I'll continue looking

@sloj i have same voip issue with TP-Link xc220 g3v v2.30 router and i tried the firmware from russian tplink website u mentioned but still no luck. voip works then error comes and telephone stops working. can you share with me the settings u did? i have disabled sip alg and in telephoney some open say under advance settings keep "inband" i have tried both options which one did u use? please let me know

First, is Internet working? My VOIP setup is fully default except the info I need to enter, like VLAN, Static IP address, gateway, DNS, interface binding to VOIP, number, registrar address, authentication id and password. I haven't disabled SIP ALG.

My internet is work fine and am also able to configure and run the VoIP for few minutes . The issue am facing is after some time the VoIP stops working this also happens after i restart my router and to get it back i have the delete the VoIP wan connection we make under internet tab and then select connection VoIP> enter vlan id 1849>dynamic ip>default gateway as current connection and at last bind VoIP and save. Doing this makes my voip working unless router restarts or after 10 or 15 mins i get same issue and error in debug log

This issue occurs automatically after 10 or 15 mins and goes away for same duration when i delete the voip wan connection and create it again as per steps mentioned before. i have tried taking firmware directly via TP-Link support, tried the one u had posted (russian tp link site) as well as datecode firmware from other places. Editing VoIP connection manually after this error doesn't help i have to start over to get VoIP working and its really painful. Till now i have figured out that this error happens because the gateway changes (we have 2 wan connections made in internet tab 1 is for internet and other is for VoIP vlan 1849) while making new connection i get option of default gateway: Current connection using which VoIP works. if i click on edit i will see internet wan and auto options in gateway selection drop down and this is what changes after restart or after few minutes and breaks my VoIP config as it tries to use same gateway as internet but since internet vlan is different and voip vlan is different connection fails. Also sending tp link the same not sure how to help myself. I would love to know what all settings u did and which all firmware or steps u followed...am attaching all the screenshots here

Source all the images added for your reference let me know how to deal with this and what firmware u are currently running? and if there is a particular order u follow while setting up?

It's not a proper firmware. If some setting didn't set the first time, select and save it again. For bound interface VOIP profile needs to be selected or it's automatically happens under Telephony. One difference I saw is that your number starts with a plus sign. Mine just starts with 91. Try removing the plus sign and check.

I flashed the latest 1.8 firmware and went back to the datecode firmware again. No reason though, things were working fine on both. I use bridge mode for Internet and had to configure VOIP first, otherwise it gets one-way audio issue. The issue was on the original firmware too. Didn't check with the 1.8 firmware though.

@sloj Can u share screenshot of your bridge mode setiing ? I will also do the same. Also are u keeping this router only for voip and then using other router for internet using this one as modem? Because i didnt understand what u mean by bridge mode. If u can share screenshot of your wan connection setting that would be great and also if u could mail me the firmware or tell me the date could that would also work. My mail is goganpravin at gmail dot com.

Bridge mode is just stopping the router function of the ONT and bridging the connecting to internet function to another router. I run a few scripts for my OTT subscriptions to enable TV set top box like function on a raspberry pi which acts as the main router. You will have to reset PPPoE MAC address lock (you have to ask BSNL to reset) to use the internet on another router. So I suggest not to do that unless you really need it.

technically you are using your TP-Link router only for voip and have bridged it so you can use another router for internet via this xpon router? i was also planning to go down similar path but wanted to try if both voip and internet work together since i have spent 2700 INR on this router. Thought its been so many days tplink would have given solution but as of now i have also used firmware from official tplink support people yet am not able to run both voip and internet together. If i only use voip delete the internet wan profile the voip works absolutely fine. but both dont work together have raised this to tp link people the support guy also did anydesk with me to check and said this was not a problem in older firmware. so not sure what happens next. if any other person who has been able to run both voip and internet lan please come forward and help me.

VOIP and Internet do work together on the ONT. I have tested it previously. Try configuring Internet first and then VOIP and vice versa. Have you tried by removing the + sign from your number and tested? Also what firmware version are you on currently? Try with the datecode firmware I posted above.

@sloj Big thanks to you I used the firmware you provided and it worked for me. Only thing is we need to flash the firmware then go to restore/factory reset and select GPON settings in the reset menu and make sure that the fiber cable is unplugged before you start reset. Once reset is done you have to setup internet wlan "dont forget to select current connection in gateway option for both while making the connection" then voip wlan then telephony part and restart the router. After restart navigate to internet>xpon settings> enter your gpon password which is provided by isp because thats how your onu and their local ont pairs. Note: You should unplug fiber cable and check this section for gpon password if u are not unaware of this.... after saving your gpon settings you can turn of the router and plug your fiber cable and power on the router. wait for 5 mins for 1st time and 1st voice connects then after 3 mins internet starts working. once its working test it then turn off the adapter switch wait for a min and turn on now it will work normal and you will never face any issue unless some other bug comes up doing all this ;) Hope TP-Link officially launches firmware with which we don't have to follow such annoying ritual's. Till then don't rush through setup after 1st boot just switch to advance that basic option is bad and going back editing anything like dns breaks stuff so do all that during 1st setup only. Also if possible don't buy this router just stick with Digisol or other local options
