Transfer ownership of Reliance Jio Fiber Connection

Hello guys,
I wish to transfer the ownership of JIO Fiber connection to my name from currently my father's name. How can I do that ?
The engineer said I will have to cancel this connection and apply for a new one. But then I will lose the JIO landline number which is already shared across a lot of relatives and known people. Any way around ? Please help !

Check with support. Their sales and engineer guys keep pushing to get new connection for their commission.

Support has refused. They are saying transfer of ownership not allowed under any circumstances.
