Tuning to ABS 1 channels from Airtel DTH Service

First off - greatly appreciate "curious" posting this. Reminded me of my childhood days where I used to scan the SW frequencies on a radio that belonged to my granddad for channels around the world.

I'm in Bangalore and I checked out the channels and there's nothing here I want to keep, how do I remove these channels?

Sorry friend for being late in replying. If remember it correctly, there's an option for deleting these channels in FTA->Manage channels menu. I should warn you that I've not tried deleting channels so do it on your own risk.

hi. m unable to get fta channels in adtv.m from mumbai.i tried dis settings. but dint find ne channels.ne1 from mumbai getting it??thnx.. In LNB settings, selected Other satellite for LNB 22. Go to FTA -> Find channels3. Select Other for satellite4. Select 3/8 for transponders which happened to be transponder with 12579 frequency5. Pressed green button for auto scan6. The STB found some channels from the transponders.7. Select save/append option.The STB appended the channels after channel 999.

please help me i have done all the procedure's as you said but i am getting only 7 channel and radio. i live in delhi region. please help me i want to know how you can get 38 channel.

buddy plz check ur signal strenghth as i'd faced the same issue previously my signal strength was 182 and at that time i was getting 11 channels yesterday engr visited my home as i was facing some issue with signals and he re aligned the dish
and my signal strength increased to 195 and i'm getting 33 fta now

4. Select 3/8 for transponders which happened to be transponder with 12579 frequency
5. Pressed green button for auto scan
6. The STB found some channels from the transponders.
7. Select save/append option.

The STB appended the channels after channel 999.

Still I have entered new frequency with user Transponder and pressed auto scan, but it did not found any channel. I'm seeing that auto tuning is locked in my STB. Any help ?

m not getin fta channels.
but for u to get lnb setings do dis.
remove d cable from ur stb while watchin tv. (1st cable from left)
ull get error on right side. signal strength n lnb settings on left.
go to lnb n select Other satellite on lnb 2.
apply change. put bk d cable to stb n try scan fta channels after changin transponder n frequency setings to 3/8 n 12579

you can do everything with your stb . you have to reset it and can also watch dd direct channel after subscription end.ask customer care how to reset it . they will tell you . but do not them your intention to do that.

My first post to this forum very glad to find this through google...Really a very usefull thread to me who have thought that nothing could be done with our STB except watching what the service provider is providing...let me come to the thread..really a very good info provided by Curious and substantiated by gjrathod ...A Very thank full to both of them ...I'm in chennai and i could be able to receive 8 TV channels and 2 radio channels...TV channels 3ABN Inter,TBN (Trinity broadcasting N/w),Smile of A (children..),The Church(religious chn),1TVRUS asi,Apostolic (religious), Al Hayat T,TVCI...Radio channels HCBN,Net25..As said in the previous replies north india will receive more channels(34..) than south india..Friends pl visit both the replies of Curious as well as gjrathod and then tell if you are not able to get the channels...first i made a mistake by visiting only the start of the thread...

:wall: Airtel has blocked channels from ABS-1. You can tune & save but cant view now ! Error message appears.:wall: ( 8 )
