I saw the teaser and there wasn't much to make of it. Waiting for reviews. Balaji?

For once, I'm going to skip a show on FX. The reviews have been bad. The ratings for the series premiere were mediocre.
It's like "Homeland" married to "God father."
And a white actor plays a middle eastern guy. It seems every one in the fictional Arab kingdom speaks only in English which is strange because, FX's "Americans" has a lot of Russian dialogues and "The Bridge" has lot of Spanish.
From what I read, any intrigue that's in the first episode gets sanded down in the subsequent episodes.
But, reviews are subjective. You can watch the pilot and see for yourself if you like it. I've decided to skip it.

Just checked the first episode. This does look interesting. Has a good plot. Actors are not bad either. Hopefully it stays interesting!

well second episode was a disaster. :\ both wives are a pain. the gay son is annoying. it felt like watching an indian soap
