I was talking about exploits in the forum software itself, since it's been out for some time now, chances are there might be exploits out there. The platform it runs on is irrelevant. If you can trick the forum software into thinking you are the admin, it's as good as gone. This is not the same as being root on the box. As this forum grows, chances are you will get more idiots in here and it only takes one with enough knowledge to screw things up.
But it appears it's not possible to get a more updated version that is as light as the current one.
Hey, it's just a thought, you try to be pro-active in these things. For all we know a HD could crash just as easily, since its on *nix, and we know they can keep things running for years at a time.
If there is an acceptable Plan B in place, we are good.

max : its version 2.0.3 (not 100% sure though)Well I have always felt that moderation on this forum is poorest of poor.....the moderator bans anybody at his whims and fancies......this is not case on other forums.....the problem is on both sides.....i remember the time when surjeet the cto left and when google singh left.....both didnt have much wrong doings on their part...Basically the mod jumps in anything to fight if ur thoughts dont match the modes.This thing should be avoided,,,,and we should remember that the the board belongs to us and not the owner....although the owner owns it.....nobody should be banned if he doesnt subscribe to moderator's viewsregarding fred.......he told he is having ocd....so he should have been treated more symathetically.........although i dont know what was the internal matterI may be banned as well now.....
