If anyone from Airtel is reading this:-
This is the 5th time I am complaining about this issue
My Airtel prepaid number is (PM me for the no)
Whenever I receive a call from a landline, I get the caller's number in the following format.
+91-xx-xxxx-xxxx
However, when I try to call the number back in the exact format, the call either gets dropped even before being connected or I keep getting the message "You seem to have dialed a wrong number"
I had raised complaints about it in the past even to the Nodal desk and every time it gets resolved for a while and then the issue recurs. I had received calls from Airtel claiming that one cannot dial a landline number in the international format (+91-xx-xxxx-xxxx) and I've tried and tested it from other Airtel and non-airtel numbers and it works fine.
The issue is only with my number. I have just now lodged a complaint against this issue and the reference no is PR072700242
So it's my final request to kindly look into it and resolve this issue permanently.
