Unable to connect to Jio 5G after porting to Postpaid

Hello. I ported my Jio prepaid connection (WB circle) to postpaid (Odisha circle). Took 5 days (diff. circle). Porting completed as of 14th April midnight but unable to latch on to 5G network. Not an issue with 5G cell site as I get pretty good 5G signal in my home. Also, instead of 75 GB, it's showing that my data allocation is 24.19 GB and billing date is 23rd of every month. Will the data allocation increase to 75 GB after I pay the first month's bill?

Also, Jio 5G welcome offer is not available currently for my ported sim. Will it activate within 24 hours? I previously had it

Usually takes 3–10 days.
Your first bill is prorated, hence the reduced GB.

Apparently, Jio says 5G welcome offer was always activated on my number but on app, it says otherwise. As usual, cannot connect to 5G on Jio...and yes I know that my location has pretty good 5G coverage of Jio. Jio Postpaid is pure scam tbh. No advantage over prepaidd

I wonder why you even went for postpaid while you were getting unlimited 5G at cheap... Just to give some more cash to Jio baba?

I think we should stay away from these kind of tactics made by companies to screw users.

Nah...idc about jio tbh cuz airtel is my primary....had to opt for jio postpaid because next month I'll be in J&K and also in Ladakh for around a month..and wfh...so needed connectivity as much as possible

You can try to put the SIM in a different phone and revert. Usually this activates 5G instantly.
More so, if you try it in a very specific phone that Jio prefers.

Unfortunately, I cannot as its an esim. Im using the same esim ID and the same phone and IMEI which I used with prepaid (which had no issues with 5G)
