I have two computers attached to the Linksys router, I am able to ping both the computers using the ip address, but when I try to ping them instead with the computer name I am facing an error. Can anyone suggest why its not working?
My Option router used to be able to do it, that is until it stopped booting up this afternoon, thats when I took out my old linksys router and having trouble trying to figure this out. So, since my option router was able to do it, I take it that there is no configuration issue with my pc, which means there's something about the linksys router which isnt right. Any linksys users here to confirm if they can successfully ping other pc's using the computer name?
