not too sure of what exactly happ some time back but everytime I have a power cut (the PC and router and modem loose power abruptly). Once I get the power and I turn on the PC, I was unable to ping the Beetal modem and internet was not working.I checked the Linksys router and somehow it had not received any IP from the Beetal modem.I had to remove all my previous settings done for port forwarding and now things are working...any clue whats happ?

umm under the Beetal modem -> Device Info -> DHCP I see two infos:

Device Info -- DHCP Leases

Hostname MAC Address IP Address Expires In 000F663511A100:0F:66:35:11:A1192.168.1.222 hours, 1 minutes, 8 seconds sanket00:19:DB:F4:BF:8C192.168.1.322 hours, 18 minutes, 4 seconds
and under ARP I see:

Device Info -- ARP

IP address Flags HW Address Device 192.168.1.2 Complete 00:0F:66:35:11:A1 br0
Which one to add?

Was this before or after you configured the Static IP Lease List. Also, login to the Linksys and look for a config page where it will let u specify the Static ip...should be under Basic Setup or something.

umm not too sure if this used to happ before but I have been facing frequent disconnection problem via linksys router. I had even called airtel tech at home and turned out when the modem was directly connected to my PC it created no prob.

Well, since i don't own a Linksys and am not familiar with it's firmware, settings etc....won't be able to help u much there, i'm afraid. I can only give a few pointers. First of all what happens when u get disconnect. Does the Linksys reboot? Or does ur laptop lose the wifi signal. If u have enabled encryption for wifi in the Linksys, then don't keep the Passkey Change Interval/WPA Group Rekey Interval too short. Change it to something like 240 minutes for now. Keep the router at a height and make sure there's no interference from other devices like cordless phones etc. Also, look for a config page where it will let u specify the Static ip...should be under Basic Setup or something and make sure it doesn't conflict with the Static IP Lease you setup in 220BXI. Finally, you could try resetting the Linksys to Factory Settings from within the router config page or there should be a reset button at the back of the router somewhere...keep it pressed for 20-30 secs and then re-configure the router from scratch.
