Hello. Currently using Asus RTAX86U as my primary router with PPPoE auth from alliance broadband but the issue is that customer care told me in order to use the voice capabilities, (Landline) i need to put my PPPoE creds in my ONU and make that work as a router otherwise it wont work. I dont want to use my ONU as a router as the asus router is far more powerful. Also, Alliance broadband uses MAC binding. Any suggested config about this issue on how to put the onu on bridge mode ONLY for the wan (Internet part) and for calling (VoIP), only for that PPPoE Login in ONU?

Will any SIP phone app work? I have VoIP config details. If I use something like zoiper, then will it work? Strictly speaking, I dont need a landline phone connected physically. Just need a way to use the number

Yes, any SIP Phone app (like Zoiper) works.

Step 1 : Try pinging the VoIP gateway as configured on your Alliance Router
Step 2 : Put the server details and SIP credentials on your Zoiper app

You are done.

They are not giving me the voip configuration details. I have contacted the customer care also they are saying they will set it up on my router via anydesk. I requested them for the details and told them i will configure it myself on my router. Still they won't give. For that i need to buy an xpon.
