Updated Reliance Jio 5G plans after TRAI mandates voice/sms only plans (January 2025)

I had autopay enabled for one of my numbers with the 479 plan. Today I see that the auto debit happened successfully and the plan got activated as well. However, if I manually try to recharge, I don't see the 479 plan.

The 189 value pack for 28 days (unlimited calling and 2 GB data) seems to have returned. That seems to be the best option currently with no 479 plan available.

I use one of my Jio sims only for data (backup internet), and I usually used to recharged for 479 which is now gone. This time I noticed that I could just recharge a data only plan and keep the sim active.

I recharged for the Rs 195 / 15 GB plan and it seems to be working fine. I don't have any other base plan. Wasn't aware this was an option until now. Now it's actually cheaper than the previous 479 plan As its a backup link, I wouldn't need more than 15 GB usually, and if required will use a data plan addon.

Is there any revision to the 1899 value plan as of now?

I saw a comment on the first page where the user mentioned 2249 plan but that plan seems to be found nowhere.

I am in due for a recharge in a month and if I don't find the same plan, I guess I will have to switch to VI which offers a great value plan.

@MrGordon do you get incoming SMSes on data only plan? I have a SIM which is being used for only OTPs. So just wondering do these data only packs have incoming SMSes

Does Jio 5G work on plans without the unlimited 5G?

I have the ₹299 plan with 1.5gb/day data and it just stays on 4G. I want to use 5G till my 1.5gb daily limit. Does it no longer work that way?
Just ported to Jio again and was using the 6gb/month plan earlier. 5G used to work till the 6gb limit with that plan.
