Hi dear frenz,I have a type-1 modem with one USB and Ethernet port. I am connecting to net using the ethernet port and everything is working perfectly.Recently I broght a new laptop and wish to connect it too net simultaneously using same modem/connection. so my question is that...1. can i connect my laptop thruogh the USB port?2. If possible, I need to purchase a cable/connector for that, what is the name of that? shall i get it from open market?3.is it possible to connect an additional wireless router from this USB port?awaiting your respose soon.thanks in advanceL.Zero

1. Yes. First download the USB drivers to say c :/usb modem drivers.
a..Restart computer and connect the modem. Let Laptop detect the hardware and ask for the drivers.
b. Follow procedure.
2. From computer shop : called usb cable. Take the modem to the shop to get the correct connector.

3. You don't need the usb port to connect a WIFI router. Lan port can be used .
Usually WIFI router provides 4 additional LAN ports.
4. reference :BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU
Check your model and quote model/make in your post/s.

wrt your qn.3, You can excahnge your Type1 modem for Type2 (Wireless) with BSNL if you have purchased the Type1 from BSNL, by paying the difference amount .
