essbebe, these files are for zte zxdsl 831, not 831AII, both are different and their look and configuration page is also different.

there are risk involved to test these files on my zt zxdsl 831AII

Sometimes in one link the file is corrupt/or missing.. That is why I requested you to check. 831 also used by some. Also we tend to refer the latest thread , instead of searching old threads. You were the first person to give detailed instructions on this modem in this forum. I have seen only pictures of this modem !Not sure!
The Russian site I have given , but stuck off , only for future reference.

Hello people.. let me tell U all I know about ZTE ZXDSL 831 AII modem. I had problems installing the device drivers.. Finally, i found out...1. To use this modem via ethernet cable, U dont need to have any driver installed on ur system. Only u must have working network adapter in ur system, most of the systems have it.2. The problem arises when U try to connect it via USB, only then there is requirement of drivers etc. The drivers in the cd they give, or ones uploaded by people sometimes fail to do the job, as in my case. I did everything possible to solve the problem.. It was saying that blah blah is already installed on ur system, remove it first.. nothing was there to be uninstalled! It was pretty annoying... My suggestion is tht let ur pc be connected to internet via the LAN, connect the USB cable, it will prompt for found new hardware, now chose automatic installation of drivers by windows update site. For that U have to enable the automatic updates options from control panel. Now when I chose the automatic update option, it searched for sofwares on windows site and found the required driver and installed it and it was ready to be used!!! So, just let windows search it for you...Thanks..P.S: 1. I have a modem with name ZTE ZXDSL 831 AII.. I have it, so it does exist. 2. Ur hardware for which u need the driver is (in my case) is conexant network adapter and its name is conexant USB IAD LAN MODEM. So, if the above trick doesnt wrk, search driver for this hardware.Thanks..
