I have been trying to solve this problem for last 5 days. My UTStarcom WA3002G4 is working FINE when used in unsecured mode. But as soon as I setup seurity (I have tried WEP/WPA/WPA2), the SSID is not visible to any laptop.If a laptop is also connected with wire LAN, the SSID is shown in available wireless networks, but windows cant connect to it (WI-FI) even then.Can it be a problem of router... or I am missing something.???Please help..Thanks

Please refer "sticky" for WA3002-G4 above.Choose Chennai web site.2.In WLAN card configure advanced ( when accessing via WLAN settings page)what is the mode selected ?

I downloaded the firmware shown on the sticky topic mentioned above.I was doing everything by the book, but after pressing the update software button, it never returned.And I think now I have bricked my modem.Can I do anything to reset the firmware or I have screwed up the poor thing...?????.....

When you have raised a minor problem about the router here ,
how did you rush to do a "Heart transplant" ?
( Firmware update
for the wrong model. may work too if done properly. no reports so far. )
WARNING added now .
2. If you cannot access the modem settings now. try for an exchange at BSNL.

@adibob2005

You shouldn't have tried a firmware which is not meant for a model. Only option available with you is getting your router exchanged from bsnl, and dont tell them that you updated the firmware.

I know, it was stupid of me to go for the worng FW.But I had already tried all the different settings before doing this.Now when it is done, I think I will go and request some BSNL guy to exchange the modem.Any way, thanks a lot guys.:(
